Marin Sun Farms seeks a part-time line cook in Point Reyes Station. Our busy butcher shop and restaurant is open 11am-6pm, 5 days a week; with lunch served from 12pm-5pm, and dinners 5pm-7pm on the weekends. Our shop is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Line Cook applicants must have 1-2 years kitchen experience and a passion for pasture-raised meat and seasonal produce. Experience in charcuterie production is a plus. This is a diverse position, in a fast-paced environment, with the potential for professional growth. Responsibilities include: station set-up and break-down, daily prep, maintaining soups and stocks, basic butchery, charcuterie production, as well as customer service. Ability to maintain a clean/organized station, attention to detail, a strong sense of urgency and a positive “can-do” attitude is required!
This is a part-time position. Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday shifts are currently available. Compensation DOE.
Wait Staff (submit cover letter and resume)
Marin Sun Farms seeks an excellent part-time employee at our Point Reyes Station restaurant and butcher shop. This wait staff is responsible for all customers at our restaurant, ensuring that they have an excellent experience as our guests.
Experience and interest in local agriculture, food, community and farmers markets is highly recommended.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Ensure that each customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment, which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer as they enter restaurant.
Seating customers, presenting them with menus and beverages lists, and taking their orders, etc.
Maintaining solid product knowledge and daily specials. Answering any questions about Marin Sun Farms’ 100% grass fed and pasture raised meats.
Relaying table order to kitchen staff for prompt and accurate service.
Pouring wine and beer, serving other beverages, and serving food from kitchen.
Clearing and re-setting tables, as needed.
Assisting restaurant customers with any retail purchases from the meat case (as needed) and adding the retail purchase to their bill.
Presenting the customer with the bill for payment and change, as needed.
Keeping track of tips, and accurately reporting them at shift end.
Other tasks as assigned by manager.

Farmers Market Sales Associate (submit cover letter and resume)
Marin Sun Farms seeks an outgoing individual to assist our Farmers Market team with sales of our grass-fed and pasture-raised meat at select Bay Area locations.
Experience and interest in local agriculture, food, community and farmers markets is highly recommended.
Responsibilities:
Reports to San Francisco facility to assist with market packing and vehicle loading
Drive to and from market sites to set-up and break-down the market booth
Maintain overall booth appearance and informational displays
Maintain safety and cleanliness of the booth before, during and at the conclusion of the market
Raise consumer and community awareness of MSF and our role within the local foodshed
Perform other duties necessary to support the markets
Qualifications:
Valid driver’s license and clean DMV record
Excellent interpersonal skills, self-confidence and the ability to communicate with a variety of people
Clear and organized work habits, positive attitude, flexible
Strong oral and written communication skills
Creative problem solver
Knowledge of sustainable farming practices
Physically fit and able to lift 50 pounds and stand on feet for multiple hours
