Position: Inside Sales Manager

Reports to: Wholesale Manager

Base Location: MSF HQ Petaluma





The Inside Sales Manager is excellent at communication and administration, building strong relationships with customers, discussing all aspects of the product lines, and reacting in a timely manner to quickly-changing circumstances.  This individual is responsible for internal sales functions although will go out into the field, while ensuring customer satisfaction and accurate order fulfillment. This dynamic position works on order fulfillment – inputting orders and finalizing orders, – maintaining accounts and building new business. The Inside Sales Manager is expected to hit or exceed their weekly sales quota.



  • Perform daily sales activities, staying in touch with customers and anticipating their needs
  • Use QuickBooks to create Work Orders and Invoices
  • Use Salesforce to manage full sales cycle start to finish
  • Interface with Fulfilment Team to insure Sales Team needs are met
  • Communicate effectively with customers, offer alternate cuts and suggestions for usage when needed
  • Achieve customer satisfaction, revenue generation, and long-term account partnerships
  • Balance sales with inventory and upcoming supply, always thinking and selling in whole animal quantities
  • Upsell existing customers, encouraging them to try new products, and to purchase more of their existing products
  • Meet sales targets and exceed your quota while maintaining wholesale margins


  • Salesforce, QuickBooks and Microsoft Office required
  • Experience in the meat industry, knowledge of meat cuts or a willingness to learn
  • Comfortable selling over the phone and in person
  • Passion for the Marin Sun Farms mission and product line
